What’s New for 2021?
For the 2021 model year, MINI is bringing back the 6-speed manual transmission in a variety of its automobiles, including the Convertible. However, if you like the convenience of an automatic, you can opt for the available 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
This Convertible will also have an available Sidewalk Edition. It’s available in Deep Laguna Metallic Blue or MINI Yours Enigmatic Black Metallic and comes with:
- Anthracite roof
- 17-inch Scissor Spoke 2-tone wheels
- “Sidewalk” graphics
Add on the LED headlights, fog lights, and auto-dimming mirrors, and you’ll be able to see better during any point of the day as well.
2021 MINI Convertible Performance Specs
Whether you choose the Sidewalk Edition or standard version of the 2021 MINI Cooper Convertible, you’ll have a car that’ll turn heads on the road.
You’ll be too busy whizzing by, though, to notice, especially with the available 189-horsepower 2.0L 4-cylinder engine. The standard 134-horsepower 1.5L 3-cylinder engine isn’t too shabby, either. In fact, if your vehicle is equipped with that motor, it’ll achieve an EPA-estimated 38 combined MPG.
With that kind of fuel economy, you can forgo making frequent stops to the gas station. Simply enjoy those travels around town—the 4-wheel independent suspension system will help you navigate any especially winding roads.
Features Inside the Convertible
The 3-in-1 convertible top is the standout feature of the MINI Convertible exterior. Inside, there may be too many to count.
First, there’s the standard leather-wrapped steering wheel and optional leather seating. You can even get the upholstery in colors like:
- Carbon Black
- Malt Brown
- Satellite Grey
Not only will the cabin look good, but it can make you feel good too. Heated seats come standard, while a navigation system is also available. You’ll have an easy time getting to your destination and will feel cozy the whole way there.
You’ll feel protected inside the vehicle, too, thanks to the standard Active Driving Assistant. Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking are included in this suite. Not only will you be warned if you’re getting too close to a car, but the brakes can automatically be applied—this will help lessen or avoid an impact altogether.
